We first met Julie almost three years ago, when we required assistance with designing major alterations to a bungalow we had just purchased. Not having used an architect for many years we used online, yellow pages and other search options to identify possible individuals who we thought could assist us. We held meetings with four architectural design experts including Julie, all of whom made presentations outlining the services and approach they could offer. Julie was the only one who attempted to fully understand our requirements, and asked us searching questions which significantly advanced our thinking of what we were looking for. She was also able to explain her services, the planning process and fees in terms easily understood by us. This persuaded us to select Julie to assist us. We were very impressed with the services Julie provided, which included creating designs to suit our requirements, and managing a successful planning approval process under challenging circumstances, given that a significant number of objections from neighbours were made. Julie’s knowledge of the process and personal contacts with the local authority planning team greatly assisted in achieving a successful outcome. We have subsequently used Julie to assist us in two more projects, both of which have exceeded our expectations and can highly recommend her services.
